WHOI: An Explorer’s Eye on the Deep Sea

Bruce Strickrott, pilot of the famed deep sea sub, Alvin, will be discussing his experience of deep-ocean exploration. This presentation will feature images of some of the ocean’s most exotic seascapes and highlight the history of Alvin. Bruce will also share the sub’s contribution in the 1986 exploration of the RMS Titanic, skills required to pilot a sub and the future of human-piloted diving operations with Alvin. 

Doors open at 6pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
