West Falmouth

Located on historic Route 28A and dotted with horse farms and marshland along the way, this bucolic stretch is reminiscent of days gone by and offers everything from a neighborhood library to a full-service butcher shop to some of the most picturesque sunsets on Cape Cod. West Falmouth is also home to the internationally-acclaimed College Light Opera Company, which performs at Highfield Theatre in Falmouth every summer.

In the tiny, yet bustling center of West Falmouth, anchored by the newly-renovated historic West Falmouth Library, you will enjoy the West Falmouth Market for easy shopping, a great deli and impeccable sandwiches.  Across the street is iconic Eulinda’s ice cream and from here you can walk across the Chapoquoit Bridge to one of the best beaches on Buzzards Bay.

Also close to the bike path, West Falmouth is mostly a residential neighborhood with charming Capes clustered by the shoreline on quaint dirt roads.  Public access for visitors is at Wood Neck Beach and Chapoquiot Beach.
