Mother’s Day Cape-Side Copy

Springtime is beautiful in New England, and Falmouth bursts with charm like the tulips and crocuses at the first sign of warmer temperatures! Take advantage of it this weekend by celebrating Mother’s Day outdoors or at one of our local businesses.

The Sunken Garden at Highfield Hall and Gardens

For our outdoor lovers or folks who just want to take a stroll, Falmouth is bountiful when it comes to nature walks and public gardens. The flowers are blooming, the trees are beginning to bud with greenery, and the temperatures are perfect: warm enough to have mom take in the beauty of spring around our town, but also enjoy that new sweater you got from one of our businesses. If you’re looking for walking trails Beebe Woods is notorious for its fun walking paths varying from intermediate to beginner levels. The Highfield Gardens will be sure to delight as well, with some spring blossoms aplenty in the garden. Looking for other gardens to frolick? We also highly recommend Spohr Gardens, Heritage Gardens in Sandwich, or Coonamessett Farm.

Salty Florist’s Arrangement

If you want to bring the flowers to her living room, we have dozens of floral shops that carry a wide variety of flowers for everybody’s mama. Windfall Market, the Cape Cod Flower Truck, the Salty Florist, Falmouth Florist, Verde Floral Design and Vows Floral Design Studio are some local experts, and can help you make sure mom catches her breath when she sees her beautiful bouquet. There are so many more on the Cape, too, so be sure to search for them: you can’t go wrong with a beautiful flower arrangement!

A gorgeous sunset at Cape Cod Winery (from their events page)

There are also multiple businesses hosting Mother’s Day brunches and dinners. Spoil Mom by taking her to Moonakis Cafe, the Black Dog Heights Cafe and Cape Cod Winery host brunches/special Mother’s Day meals and are all a Cape classic. Looking for some evening activities? Shipwrecked Falmouth, Color Me Mine, the Flying Bridge Restaurant, Bleu and Bluefins Falmouth are some favorites of local Cape moms across the peninsula – be sure to check out if your favorite restaurant around town is holding anything special for Mother’s Day! Our tip: check out our website’s Events tab, or check out Facebook to catch just a glimpse of some of the activities available on the Cape.

Looking for some last-minute gifts for Mother’s Day? Falmouth and Cape Cod are bountiful with local businesses perfect for those meaningful gifts for her.

The Inlet in Woods Hole, MA
Seashell rings available at Falmouth Jewelry Shop

Our personal favorites? Inlet in Woods Hole (a charming gift shop with a vast variety of knick knacks, local artists, jewelry, clothing, and other Cape-related items), Falmouth Jewelry Shop, Masterson Made (another small business with some clean, modern decor and ocean and Cape-themed items – my future mother-in-law adores the school of fish serving platter set I got from them), the Gilded Oyster, Puritan Cape Cod in Mashpee Commons, or LeRoux for the mothers whose love language is to bake and cook. There are so many shops in Falmouth, East Falmouth, Mashpee, and other surrounding towns that are perfect for your mom – all you have to do is look.
