Woods Hole Holiday Stroll
The rustling of fall leaves is dying down, wreaths are up on the lamp posts with red bows, and beautiful evergreen trees liven up the streets. Christmastime is one of our favorite times of year here on the Cape, and the Woods Hole Holiday Stroll is a part of that.
Woods Hole is historic to Cape Cod, and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Typically the summer is the busiest time of year, but this time of year is perfect for that quintessential small-town Christmas.
Hosted every single year and brought to you by the Woods Hole Business Association, the Woods Hole Holiday Stroll brings fun for all ages and activities for many. Activities vary year to year, but holiday treats, deals and fun can be guaranteed every time.
Here’s a look at the Woods Hole Holiday Stroll for 2023!
Santa will arrive at the Woods Hole Aquarium at 11 and meet and greet visitors until 2:30. The Woods Hole Aquarium is iconic to Woods Hole Village, and mesmerizing for the younger crowd. Take some pictures with Santa and learn about marine life and conservation efforts! The Aquarium will be open 10-3!
Pie in the Sky, a local and Woods Hole fan-favorite, will have complimentary hot cocoa and holiday cookies from 11-2.
The WHOI Visitor Center will be running a raffle and have some tasty treats from 11-4! WHOI is a world-renowned ocean research institution and a very unique Woods Hole experience. Stop by to learn more about the history of WHOI!
Inlet, a charming local business who pride themselves on selling local artists’ work as well as other small businesses’, will have refreshments AND a pop-up shop with Speks of Glass from 1-4. Shop earrings, clothing, handmade soaps, and many more. Inlet is one of our personal favorite stores, so head in to check out their hand-picked goods. Some featured artists include Weare Pottery, the Cape Coop Farm, Artichoke, Climbing Vine Design, and so SO many more!
The Woods Hole Public Library will be having a book sale from 1 – 5:30, with craft supplies available for the younger crowd in the children’s room! Perfect for our younger friends, and a great place to get some great reads for all ages for Christmas!
The Woods Hole Market and General Store will have a Giving Tree Raffle accompanied by some holiday treats! The Woods Hole Market is a cute local grocery nestled in the heart of Woods Hole’s Water Street. Be sure to stop by!
Masterson Made, a local home goods store with some beautifully made unique items, will will have charcuterie boards and mocktails from 2-5. Check them out if you want some great coastal-themed items (I personally have some of their serving platters on my Christmas list for my future in-laws, and some home decor for my mom), fit for every room in your house or your own personal use.
Captain Kidd will have $1 oysters and wings from 3-5. What a deal! Get your seafood fix and fill up for the rest of your afternoon on some delicious meals.
Soft as a Grape will be offering a sale for the Woods Hole Holiday Stroll! Mix & Match, 2 for $35: Adult Tees & Hats. Get your WHOI shirts, Woods Hole hats, and many more to remember your visit into the village.
Finally, the historic Woods Hole Inn will have holiday snacks and some beautiful tours of their decorations! Warm up inside with some of their friendly staff and feel the holiday spirit with twinkling lights and lots of good cheer.
