The new decade coincides with a significant new chapter in the history of Nobska Light. Construction is currently underway on the lightkeeper’s house, which was once a private residence, and is now poised to become a maritime museum open to one and all. The project is further evidence of the commitment of Friends of Nobska Light, Inc. – a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving Falmouth’s beacon. Check out their website for information regarding visitation during the project.

Since Friends of Nobska’s founding, the tower has been completely restored, thanks to their diligence and the generous donations from visitors spanning the globe, in addition to vital support from the Falmouth Community Preservation Fund and the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund.

For generations, Nobska has served as the back drop for photographs hanging in homes all over the world, from wedding portraits to family photos. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, a one-time tourist or a return runner to the Falmouth Road Race, chances are, Nobska  holds a piece of your heart.
