Axe Throwing Arrives in Falmouth
Axe throwing traces its roots back to logger and lumberjack competitions of the 1940s, and it has recently grown in popularity throughout the country. Throwers stand behind the foul line and throw the axe at a target (similar to darts).
Trained axe attendants are on duty to provide instruction and monitoring of axe-throwing lanes. They provide tips and ensure that participants know the rules before they are allowed to start throwing.
