Fun Ways to Celebrate the Arrival of Spring in Falmouth

The bright daffodils are in full bloom: this is a great sign that winter is over! The stunning yellow flowers are not only pretty, they are a symbol of new beginnings. For most of us it seems like after the often challenging past two years, we are overjoyed to welcome a fresh start with the return of our seasonal celebrations and time spent with friends and loved ones. There are several opportunities to celebrate the new season!

There will even be a traditional Maypole! Visitors can enjoy the farm free of charge. Roam around the beautiful grounds and the state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouses. Make sure to visit the alpacas, sheep, dwarf goats, miniature donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and tortoise! This will be a fun-filled day for the entire family!

May Festival in Woods Hole – Celebrate the Spring Season with the May Festival in Woods Hole on Saturday, May 28th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Bring along a blanket and a picnic lunch to eat at the Woods Hole Ballpark, adjacent to Tafts Playground on Bell Tower Lane. Enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and the company of good friends for a fun day celebrating spring!

Cape Cod Art Week – If you feel like taking a day trip from Falmouth, head on over to Barnstable for Cape Cod Art Week running May 1 through May 8. Local arts and cultural organizations, as well as artists and creative entrepreneurs, will present innovative, creative, affordable, cultural events in communities across Cape Cod. Diverse programs include jewelry making, photography, nature, family events, art exhibits, classes, open houses and more. This inaugural event is designed to generate excitement for local art culture on Cape Cod.

In so many ways this is a time for renewal. Whether your celebration will include welcoming back shared cultural festivities, joyfully reuniting with family and friends, or simply a breath of fresh air, spring is alive – ENJOY IT!
